Modupe Ehinlaiye

A multifaceted professional whose journey through diverse sectors has been marked by an unwavering commitment to excellence, community empowerment, and philanthropy.


Modupe's career trajectory began in 1995 when she graduated from the Nigerian law school. Over the next decade, she honed her skills in the banking sector, gaining invaluable experience in both corporate and retail banking. Venturing into entrepreneurship, she established a microfinance company in Lagos, Nigeria, catering to the needs of small businesses—a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit.

In December 2006, Modupe, along with her family, embarked on a new chapter by relocating to Canada. Determined to broaden her horizons, she achieved certification as a Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) by April 2008. Further enriching her academic profile, Modupe earned a master's degree in business administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in January 2011.

Modupe's professional journey continued as she entered the realm of mortgage brokerage with Mortgage Her dedication to the legal profession led her to be called to the Ontario Bar in January 2014. In April 2014, she established her law practice, specializing in Family Law and Estates Law. As a family lawyer, Modupe passionately represented families, particularly women, guiding them through the complexities of the Canadian legal system. Her commitment extended beyond her practice, providing pro bono legal assistance to women fleeing domestic abuse through partnerships with several shelters.

Modupe's unique qualifications as a dual-qualified lawyer in Nigeria and Ontario, Canada, allowed her to make impactful contributions in both jurisdictions. In June 2021, she assumed the role of an Administrative Judge (Member/Adjudicator) with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, showcasing her dedication to justice and fairness.

Motivated by her interactions with Nigerians in Canada and their often-overlooked achievements, Modupe founded BOND (Canada). She firmly believes in celebrating excellence as a catalyst for inspiring greatness within the community.

Beyond her legal and judicial roles, Modupe's commitment to excellence extends into her civic engagement. She served as the inaugural Secretary-General of the Canadian Association of Nigerian Lawyers (CANL) and actively participates on the boards of various non-profit organizations. In February 2023, she founded TWM Studios Inc., producing the renowned Talk with Mo show, where she serves as the host. This platform aims to share unique perspectives along life journeys, creating a safe space to unburden, inspire, and motivate everyday people.

Modupe's compassion for widows led to the establishment of 'Women of Destiny' in August 2023, a resource and support group for widows and their children. Beyond her professional and philanthropic endeavors, Modupe is passionate about sharing God's Word. She serves as a Teaching Leader with Bible Study Fellowship, leading the Oakville Evening Women's class, impacting the lives of over 350 women and children.

In her leisure time, when not engaged in work or teaching Bible studies, Modupe indulges in her love for cooking, baking, and writing. Happily married to Olutoyin, also a lawyer, they are blessed with four children and a son-in-law.
